Eight Worthy Goals

Image
“Eight Worthy Goals” " Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring fable. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal. " - Carl Sagan 1. Children are taught to grow their own food, build a working house and know basic first aid by age six. 2. All prisons are at ZERO cost to the public and the victims - self sustaining in two year’s time. 3. We recycle 99.9% of all items and retain 50% of energy used within one year's time - bottle banks are a thing of the past, we just reuse them. 4. We help build a major connecting road and at least two schools in any developing country that has asked for our help and expertise. 5. Renewable energy at 110% in five year’s time - we export energy. 6. Space station on the moon in ten year’s time - we are thinking beyond the planet, when we look up and see the moon we see humans within the stars. 7. Sky Stack - A space escalator

Image
The Sky Stack is a quick and cheap way to send items into space using a stack of drones. A long string of drones rise above the sky, connected by two cables that power the elegant beads in the sky. Another two cables that transport small items up and down from an orbiting platform. Sky Stack - Reaching for the stars With six Sky Stacks you've built a lift to take people to the edge of the planet. With twelve Sky Stacks you can start shipping elements to build a spaceship. With twenty four Sky Stacks you can fire small satellites into orbit. With more imagination you can do the unthinkable! If you would like to discuss the idea further please use the form below...

Knowledge Bomb eXperiment - books not bombs!

Image
Inspired from a bag with the image "Books not Bombs" - a real experiment that could be tested in the real world. Pick a war, any war then drop books instead of bombs, drop knowledge instead of destruction, drop help and remove fear, drop equipment (microscopes, telescopes) to investigate the world rather than destroy it ... The amazing thing about this thought, this idea is that it can be tried now, today, at this very moment and the results can be checked. Military still get to fly sorties and dodge missiles, but the bombs hold knowledge of this world to help them improve their lives - from the greatest writers of our time. I would rather see depleted books lying around rather than depleted uranium! Contents of a Knowledge Bomb? Grab Bags - a skater's dream grabbing backpack

Image
A little poem to explain what a Grab Bag is ... Grab your bag?   No! A bag that grabs!    But how do I hold?   Your don't, be told,   It is your bag that will hold! A bag with a cool character on the back with arms and legs that will grab what it's told with the pull of a cord. This idea came from wanting somewhere to put my skateboard. I thought how cool would it be to throw the skateboard over the shoulder and onto a waiting creature who would grab it tight. Later with the pull of the cord the skateboard would drop at my feet and skating into the park would be as cool as funk. Grab Bag - concept art version Maybe a later version will have an automated detection for items that have been placed on the backpack which would grab and hold it tight. With eyes lighting up to show that a bag has grabbed, plus a tail which will twitch whilst holding it! If you want to discuss this more then please use the form below, thank you.
